Queen of Shops

Mary Queen of Shops (9.00pm on BBC2) is compulsive viewing. Every week, as I watch Mary Portas turnaround the fortunes of failing businesses, I am reminded why I love retail.
Retail is hard work, involves unsociable hours and can be unpredictable. It is also challenging, creative, fun, and hugely rewarding, especially when you get positive feedback (as we frequently do). There is a real buzz when someone leaves the shop as a satisfied customer, who has enjoyed every minute of their experience.
Tonight Portas talked about engaging with the customer. At Pixie we are in the highly privileged position of engaging with the children too!

Sizzling Summer Sale at Pixie

It is a bit crazy this fashion business, just as the sun comes out, we start clearing the decks for some fab new clothes for Autumn/Winter.
We have plunged the depths of our stock room to uncover lots of hidden Pixie treasures. It is definitely worth popping in for a rummage.
